Mulberry Homes approached us with a bold vision: to revolutionise how their clients personalise their future homes through an intuitive, self-service digital platform. They needed a solution that would free up their Sales Agents by automating the interior configuration process, while still delivering an engaging and visually stunning experience. Our mission was to combine innovative technology with customer-focused design to redefine the home-buying journey.

Building on that vision, we created an immersive, interactive configurator that expertly balances technical sophistication and aesthetic excellence. From mapping detailed user journeys to crafting photorealistic 3D environments, every aspect was conceived to delight prospective buyers and streamline Mulberry’s internal workflow. The result is a future-proof platform that elevates both brand perception and operational efficiency.

The challenges

Mulberry Homes required an automated, photorealistic configuration system capable of handling kitchen, bathroom, and general finish selections across multiple viewpoints, daylight and dusk lighting, extreme zoom on material veins, user account management with progress tracking, and an inspiration gallery of pre-made designs—while vastly reducing Sales Agent workload.

The Solutions

We engineered a bespoke configuration engine to meet every requirement. Our platform delivers 6K-resolution photoreal visuals across 26 meticulously crafted 3D scenes (two per home type, thirteen in total), ensuring uniform quality and lighting consistency. Users can toggle between multiple camera angles and lighting conditions (daylight to dusk), zoom in to examine material veins at microscopic detail, and save progress within personal dashboards. An Inspiration hub showcases curated design templates for instant inspiration. Behind the scenes, we optimised server architecture and image-distribution pipelines to seamlessly serve over seven million possible finish combinations without latency. End-to-end, we handled UX strategy, art direction, 3D asset creation, and UI design to deliver a fully integrated solution.
